The Misclose App is associated with a file with an extension of *.lotcheck. However it also works upon a dwg file which is associated with the lotcheck file.

When you click on File -> Open you are presented with the following dialog. You have 3 options.

Option1

New File (Manual Entry) is to create a new lotcheck file and we are not going to use a dwg file. Click on "Browse" button and browse to the appropriate folder. Type in your file name and hit "Enter" key or click on "Save" button. A new blank file will be created.

Option 2

New File (DWG Entry) is to create a new lotcheck file and we are going to use a dwg file to click in values. You are prompted to browse to an existing dwg and a default lotcheck file is created which contains a link to the dwg file.

Option 3

is to select an existing file. You then need to browse to an existing *.lotcheck file which is subsequently opened. There is also a "Most Recently Used" list which contains the last lotcheck files that have been opened. Click on the file name and then OK and the previous job is displayed automatically.

If you are opening an existing lotcheck file; then the app will open the DWG with either the model or appropriate paper-space.
